New brand launch. Woot! Congrats to Cara of LE PETIT GARAGE on her new look. Le Petit Garage is a retail women's clothing and accessories boutique on the Jersey Shore. It's a fun neighborhood spot, and is a must visit store for locals and tourists alike. To create the Le Petit Garage logo and brand we took inspiration from Cara's love of labs, her decidedly preppy vibe, and her penchant for bright (bust out the sunglasses) color. New logo designs make me happy! I just finished a new logo for Emerald Lion Vintage -- a vintage treasures shop on Etsy, curated by my family and me. I'm usually my own worst client, but this one came together pretty quickly. Probably because my little one was sitting next to me the whole time I was designing the logo, giving me advice and choosing fonts and Pantone colors. I'm proud to say he is the one who suggested the slab serif font!
Our new Emerald Lion Vintage shop on Etsy is stocked with vintage treasures. Most are goodies I spot while prop shopping for client photo shoots that are just too good to pass up. My cabinets are bursting at the seams, so my son promised to help me manage an Etsy shop. It's too early to say what our specialty will be, but if I had to guess I'd say mid-century modern décor, barware, serving ware, and all things emerald green and mustard yellow.

January is always a busy month, so full of possibility and promise. While I don't do official "resolutions" for the New Year, I'm trying to be a little more organized this year, trying to paint a little more, and trying to be less terrified of posting my work. I had my business cards letterpressed and when I got them back from the press room they were, well, meh. I love color, and my cards were grey and white. Boring. So I gussied them up with some fresh paint just in time for a little pop up shop I participated in at West Elm for Charleston based artists and makers. I had a great time meeting all the other artists, makers, and shoppers.
