MOOD: Celiosa Smoothie
Mood Board Celiosa Smoothie by Erika Firm
orange bouganvellia
Ahhh, orange. I'm in purple detox this week, thankfully. Orange isn't a favorite color of mine, but I'm for sure warming up to it. I especially like it paired with green (go figure). It reminds me so much of Florida and has me itching to take a road trip to the Sunshine State. This Celiosa Orange mood board's vibe is fun, colorful, bright, and fresh. Key colors are Sumatra Orange, Celiosa Orange, Keffir Lime, Creamsicle, Melon, Parakeet, and Lagoon. For more Celiosa Orange fun hop over to my Instagram. Continue reading

The colors from the "Wisteria Hysteria" mood board are charming shades of purple. You heard me right: purple. I think I'd better get used to it, since Ultra Violet is Pantone's Color of the Year this year. I'm slowly coming around to liking some purple hues, thanks to the gorgeous wisteria blooms in Charleston this Spring.

You know I love a monochromatic color palette, right? Wisteria paired with violet, white lilac, and pebble is darling. "Magic Hour," with its shock of orchid, and hits of two of my very favorite colors: chartreuse and magnolia green, reminds me of one of my earliest childhood memories: plucking lilacs off of the bushes lining our Long Island, New York driveway. "Répondez s'il Vous Plaît" is all about the most formal of summer nights: evening weddings. I can hear the tinkle of ice in signature champagne cocktails and smell the jasmine in the air. Care to dance? "Chez Jean-Luc" is the most classic of the wisteria color palettes. Paired with sweet pea, navy blue, and magnolia green, here wisteria loses some of its sweetness and seems a little more grown up. Masculine, even. I'm envisioning an after party at a fancy Parisian townhouse owned by Jean-Luc. Continue reading

Wisteria vine on Meeting Street in Charleston, South Carolina photo by Erika Firm with Miss SC
Purple. You must be thinking I've lost my mind. But a few weeks ago, the magical wisteria vines were blooming all over Charleston and I was in awe. I particularly like wisteria purple paired with navy blue and chartreuse (you know I've gotta get a teensy bit of green in there). This Wisteria Hysteria mood board's vibe is bold, powerful, lush, and feminine. Key colors are Violet, Wisteria, White Lilac, Navy, Chartreuse, Orchid, and Olive.

Revel Paper Notebook Covers by Erika Firm for Revel & Co. Colorado
There are just so many good, on trend colors in the Sirocco color palette. I'm particularly loving the Marina at Sunset vibe: rust, blush & cobalt blue, which I incorporated into Revel & Co's latest line: Revel Paper. The notebooks, sketch books, and jotters come in lots of colors, but these three are my faves. I particularly love the copper foil details. Fancy! There are still a few left in stock, available on the Revel & Co. website here. SOURCES | 1. Blush blanket 2. Terracotta bathing suit 3. Blush wallet 4. Cobalt blue purse 5. Blush wedge sandals 6. COLOR: Sirocco

COLOR: Sirocco
Sirocco color palette by Erika Firm Terracotta Rust Sunset Cobalt Blue Blush Clay The colors from the "Sirocco" mood board are warm and intense, yet calming. I've been seeing these colors pop up a lot in fashion, and think they work for all seasons. You know I love a monochromatic color palette, right? Even when it has slight hints of red, like russet + rust + peach. "Quick Dip," with its vibrant blues and warm sand colors, has me dreaming of lounging by a pool, preferably an exotic resort pool. I can smell the sweet scent of chlorine and sunscreen now! "Tapas" is all about casual summer nights: drinks and snacks with old friends. I love cobalt blue, rust, charcoal, sand, and clay together. I can envision an entire restaurant built out in these colors. Dramatic, yet comforting. These are gorgeous colors for a date night outfit. "Marina at Sunset" is the color palette that works best for Spring, I think. I can see a fun sundress in these colors. It has me thinking of brunch with friends in a marina overlooking La Jolla Cove. And boat drinks. Always, boat drinks. Continue reading
