Gold foil is a trend I can totally get behind. It adds a nice hint of glamour to business cards, don't you agree? I love how the foil looks on these new business cards I designed for Chloe Aftel and Jadecourt Candle Company.

My little houseplant collection is growing. I don't want to jinx it, but I haven't killed a plant in over a year! My tropical plants inspired this new leaf pattern that I painted for you. I was thinking about turning it into wallpaper and fabric. How would you use this pattern in your home? Should I keep the background white or add a color?

New logo designs make me happy! I just finished a new logo for Emerald Lion Vintage -- a vintage treasures shop on Etsy, curated by my family and me. I'm usually my own worst client, but this one came together pretty quickly. Probably because my little one was sitting next to me the whole time I was designing the logo, giving me advice and choosing fonts and Pantone colors. I'm proud to say he is the one who suggested the slab serif font!
Our new Emerald Lion Vintage shop on Etsy is stocked with vintage treasures. Most are goodies I spot while prop shopping for client photo shoots that are just too good to pass up. My cabinets are bursting at the seams, so my son promised to help me manage an Etsy shop. It's too early to say what our specialty will be, but if I had to guess I'd say mid-century modern décor, barware, serving ware, and all things emerald green and mustard yellow.

New laptop means new tech accessories. Yay! To me a computer is a serious tool, so getting a new one is cool, but not exciting. But a fancy new laptop sleeve or killer new laptop bag? That, I can get excited about. I decided on no. 1: a brown leather laptop envelope sleeve by Boutonné. But space cat is a rather close second. Hmmm, I wonder if I can fit space cat inside my Boutonné sleeve?
I don't want to jinx it ... but I've kept a few plants alive for over a year! I'm encouraged to expand my indoor jungle and put these cool indoor pots and planters on my wish list.
I love love love all the Pantone Fall 2016 colors! Lush Meadow green and Spicy Mustard yellow are my faves (duh).

I just restocked my ETSY shop with a brand new product: gift wrap! I've always loved wrapping presents — I may or may not have an entire closet in my house dedicated to wrapping paper and gift toppers. (It's a problem. I know.) All the gift wraps in my shop are designed from original abstract artwork I painted.

Winter in South Carolina is, well, dreary. Lately I've been missing bright and colorful Southern California, so I designed this colorful cactus pattern wallpaper to cheer myself up.
